In the healthy condition of man, the spiritual vital force (autocracy), the dynamis that animates the material body (organism), rules with unbounded sway, and retains all the parts of the organism in admirable, harmonious, vital operation, as regards both sensations and functions, so that our indwelling, reason-gifted mind can freely employ this living, healthy instrument for the higher purpose of our existence.

commentary:

DEMONSTRATION OF VITAL FORCE :

Lets take the dead body. It has heart, brain and all other organs which was present at the time when the same was alive. Yet the dead body ceases to be alive. The reason is, it lacks some thing when one is dead. On contrary, suppose one has done crime on another person and all his vital organs are separated, by bringing back all the organ in its place can we bring back him to life, No.  Homoeopathy holds that the dead body lacks the vital force. The vital force is fully explained in the aphorism from 9 to 18. 

LETS SEE WHAT IS  VITAL FORCE?

In the healthy condition of man, the spiritual vital force (autocracy): You have all the organs of the body. Vital organs may include heart ,brain, liver kidney etc. All this function so harmoniously. Each one doing its duty sincerely. what makes heart beat, what makes the brain function? There must be superior force which controls each of the organ -that is spiritual vital force. 

Autocracy:

Vital force precedes all the organs but it controls all the organ. Vital force controls mind, cells, tissues, organs yet it is beyond all the so called  mind, cells, tissues, organs. Vital force is not eye but it can makes the eye see, it not ear, but it can help you to hear, its not taste but helps you to taste, its not the mind but it helps you to think (for eye, nose, ear, tongue and all the organs are found in dead body also) Just like a single ruler (autocracy) it is superior to all organs, and controls every organ.

The dynamis = Characterized by action or forcefulness or force of personality. An individual is different from another, yet all his organ functions are same heart beat's in every individual, blood circulate in every one. There is a unity and also diversity. Unity in diversity. This liveliness, this energy (animates), this unity, this diversity, is brought about by vital force which retains all the parts of the organism in admirable, harmonious, vital operation, as regards both sensations and functions.

Reason-gifted mind can freely employ this living, healthy instrument for the higher purpose of our existence.

Human being are  superior to animal. Like animal we reproduce. Like animals we fight or destroy each other. But there are also difference. we are superior to animals. We are intelligent Unity in diversity. The vital force  has superior functioning in human beings as humans are superior to animals.

Origin of vital force:

Herebert A Roberts has said "No organ, no tissue, no cell, no molecule, is independent of the activities of the others, but the life of each one of these elements is merged into the life of the whole. The unit of human life cannot be the organ, the tissue, the cell, the molecule, the atom, but the whole organism, the whole man."

 When sperm fertilizes ovum or the two parent cells are united that vital principle, the vital energy, is already present; and the ego of the completed cell or zygote does not change one iota after once beginning its process; it has in itself and of itself the power to develop into cells, the physical, because of the continual flowing through them of the vital energy which rules the whole. It has within itself the power to develop muscle, nerve, brain-cells, and all systems- circulatory system, digestive system, nervous system, muscular system, and each gifted with the powers for specialized uses in the future. we can see yet that these are all a part of the whole man; and further  we have in each individual infinite powers of development. 

Presence of vital force   is capable of development of individual. Without this vital energy, the cell, or the whole body, becomes nonliving and is dead. It is only when the vital energy is present that there is a living organism, capable of physical action and of the exercise of mental abilities.

Unity:

Just like the electricity manifest through various instrument in different manner and produce different effect- light, television, fan, air condition etc vital force flow through the individual cells, tissues and organ and make unique function. eg. heart beats, blood circulates and nourishes the cells, eye help us see etc which seem to be same in most of individuals for given organ.

Diversity

     No two individuals are alike. The development of the vital energy in one differs from that in another. Each one possesses a special personality and a special psychophysical expression which is determined by the interplay of hereditary tendencies and factors of disease through vital force.

     The growth and development of each individual progresses as it draws upon three kinds of energy

  physical energy, 

  Mental energy as it is manifest in the brain, 

  the spiritual energy. 

When the energy functions properly in all the three manifestations the whole personality grows harmoniously, for the energy is the power house that supplies the impulse of growth for, the whole individual. 

When the energy functions improperly there is greater growth on one plane than on another and the personality is not symmetrical in its development and disease results.

     The nature of energy is dynamic, and this dynamis penetrates every particle, every cell, every atom of the human economy. 

The material organism, without the vital force, is capable of no sensation, no function, no self-preservation ¹, it derives all sensation and performs all the functions of life solely by means of the immaterial being (the vital force) which animates the material organism in health and in disease.

¹ It is dead, and only subject to the power of the external physical world; it decays, and is again resolved into its chemical constituents.

The material organism, without the vital force, is capable of no sensation, no function, no self-preservation ¹, it derives all sensation and performs all the functions of life solely by means of the immaterial being (the vital principle) which animates the material organism in health and in disease.

commentary:

The essentiality of vital force is already discussed. Vital force is like a ruler (autocracy) keeps the body in harmony. But a body without vital force is dead. So every activity in the living body is controlled by vital force. Absence of vital force means no sensation, no function, no self-preservation
